LASER Skin Rejuvenation
Laser Peels, Laser Facials, Needling & Light Treatments
Laser rejuvenation is an aggressive skin treatment used to reverse the signs of aging and improve the health and overall vitality of skin. We offer Laser Peels, Laser Facials and Laser Skin Tightening, which are both ablative and non-ablative facial treatments. Depending on the time you have for healing, we will choose the right course of treatments for you. Obviously, higher intensity treatments require more downtime, but non-ablative procedures will still create thermal injury below the epidermis, promoting the body’s natural healing process to reverse and repair damage and rebuild collagen from the inside out.
It’s important to have a series of treatments to get the best results, with the first few visits spaced about a month apart. As the collagen regenerates itself, you will see continual improvements in your skin tone and texture for up to a year.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)/Photofacials
The best bank for your buck. IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, is a technology similar to laser. Instead of a single wavelength like laser, IPL uses a bright light that shoots through filters that tailor to a specific problem, such as pigment and blood vessels. The light energy penetrates just below the skin’s surface, damaging either the unwanted melanin or blood vessels. The body’s natural skin repair mechanisms then regenerates the damaged tissue and produces a smoother, more even complexion. We recommend 3-6 treatments to see the most significant results, spaced out every 3-4 weeks. The advantage to IPL systems is that downtime is usually very minimal. Patients may experience a temporary pink glow, and a slight darkening of pigment which will crust up slightly before sloughing away.
IPL is good for pigment, rosacea, age spots, uneven skin tone, large pores, fine lines, capillaries and collagen remodeling. It has been marketed for hair removal, though we will never use it for such because we find that true lasers give much better results. IPL does not work for deep wrinkles.
Laser Peels (Carbon or Acne Facial)
One of our most popular rejuvenation treatments. With no downtime, you can instantly refresh and smooth the skin, leaving an airbrushed appearance. We use a Q-Switch YAG laser to remove the top most layer of skin, absorbing all the oils and immediately reducing the pores. We will often use carbon as well to enhance the results. The process is similar to an airbrushing of the skin with a small point laser beam and is a fairly quick procedure with no pain. This is a micro-peel and should be done in a series for best results.
Many facial conditions such as uneven skin tone, pigmentation, sun spots, age spots, acne, pores and sun damage can be reduced.
This procedure is great for tired skin that needs a wake-up call! Your face will be left super smooth, refreshed and blemish free.
Laser Facials
Laser Facials are ideal for visible skin problems such as uneven skin tone and texture, sun damage, large pores, melasma, and pigmentation. Not to be confused with PhotoFacials (IPL), Laser Facials use an actual YAG laser as opposed to pulsed light. The laser will target the collagen by messaging your body to repair lax and sleeping tissues, and leave you with a healthy glowing complexion. The regenerative healing process is stimulated and your skin will begin to repair itself from the inside out. Collagen treatments will continue to work for six months to a year after treatment, so this is more of a preventative treatment vs a quick fix.
Laser Facials are also a very effective treatment for rosacea sufferers. They can effectively eliminate the persistent redness and fine vascular lines, and the results can be maintained with routine visits.
Skin Rejuvenation
As gravity and the natural aging process occurs, the skin loses it’s youthful appearance. This treatment is best performed on those in the early stages of aging who do not yet have severe wrinkling or sagging.
When the laser penetrates the skin, the tissues immediately contract, stimulating precursors of collagen, elastin and other proteins under the surface. The appearance of fine lines and loose skin will improve within weeks and continue to improve over time as the body heals itself.
